If you believe the worst will happen, you are paving the way for it to come crashing into your life. Fortunately, optimism works similarly. By maintain a positive attitude and searching for the good hidden within challenging situations, you make space for good things to unfold.

Your choice – you can be a pessimist, or you can be an optimist. It takes the same amount of effort….and there’s a health benefit to being optimistic; Optimists tend to live longer on average – 11 to 15 percent longer than pessimists and have an excellent chance of chance of achieving exceptional longevity. Optimism places you in the state of mind of hope, strength, resilience, and a positive outlook on life in general.

Winston Churchill one stated, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” A more humorous way to state it might be from Oscar Wilde’s quote, “The optimist sees the donut, the pessimist sees the hole.”

“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.”
-Roy T. Bennett

“Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results.”
-Willie Nelson

“Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier.”
-Colin Powell
